Till & Ledger
For small grocery and general stores

The back office for a country store.

Till & Ledger keeps the books a small store runs on — the invoices, the prices, the shelf tags and the labels — on a little computer that lives right in your store, and on every screen you work from.

What it does

Everything behind the counter, in one ledger.

Built for the way a small store actually works: a stack of vendor invoices, a register that needs its prices kept right, and shelves that need tags.

N° 1

Invoices, read for you

Scan an invoice or forward the email. Till & Ledger reads every line, keeps what you paid for each item, and remembers it for next time.

N° 2

Prices that keep up

When a vendor's price goes up, you see it right away — with the new shelf price worked out to keep your margin, ready to send to your register.

N° 3

Shelf tags & labels

Shelf tags, barcode stickers, bread and egg labels and sale tags, printed from the same list — on the label printer and the office printer you already have.

N° 4

Works with your register

Matches what you buy against your register's item list, finds what's missing, and makes the import files your point-of-sale system takes.

N° 5

Coolers & checklists

Keeps an eye on cooler and freezer temperatures, and keeps the opening and closing checklists where everyone can see them.

N° 6

Your store's own look

Your name, your logo and your colours on every screen. Till & Ledger only signs off quietly at the bottom.

How it fits together

One little computer, every screen in the store.

Your ledger lives on a small computer in your store, not in someone else's cloud. Everyone works from the same books, wherever they are.

The wall screen

A touch screen by the counter: today's invoices, what needs a look, the coolers, and the store's music.

The office computer

The Till & Ledger program for Windows: the full ledger in its own window, and it handles the printing.

Your phone

Look up an item, scan a barcode, photograph an invoice or check a price from anywhere in the store — or from home.

Our story

Made in a real store.

Till & Ledger was built behind the counter of a bulk-food and general store in Kirksville, Missouri, one invoice at a time.

Every part of it started as a real job that needed doing on a real Tuesday: checking an invoice against last month's prices, getting the tags out before the delivery hit the shelves, making sure the register's list matched what's on the floor.

A till for the money, a ledger for the books — the two things every store has always needed, kept together.
